New Hope Closing Update

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens. – Ecclesiastes 3:1

New Hope Fellowship has been here in Onehunga for 27 years, the fulfilment of a vision given to Charlie Forrest almost 20 years earlier. It’s been an amazing blessing to see all that God has done over the years, and the many people whose lives have been touched by His love and grace.

We celebrate God’s miraculous provision for the church for over 27 years. Also, his provision for the community, including thousands of food boxes going out to support whanau in the area since 2020, is a measure of God’s love and care for those who are struggling.

On May 31st, New Hope will close its doors. This isn’t a financial decision but a response to God’s clear direction to us. While we won’t be here going forward, we know that God will continue to demonstrate His love for this community in other ways through His people in the area.

The New Hope Community Impact Centre at 12 Waller St, Onehunga, will continue to operate.nh.impact@gmail.com

We want to thank the people and businesses of Onehunga for their support for the work here, especially the foodbank and Christmas hampers.

Being involved in this ministry has been such a privilege and a blessing to all of us. We pray that God will bless each and every one who is reading this going forward.
